All the Republicans got now is to attack Obama's character, since they have no real plans for this country except Bushe's blueprints of more of the same. Expect more attacks on Obama's character, scare tactics and lies on Obama's record.

I am a librarian. Rachel is absolutely right...we are trained to protect people's right to privacy, intellectual freedom, and democracy. This stuff, and a lot worse, is happening at many McCain events. The worst, of course, is the treatment of peaceful protesters at the RNC conv. They were assembled as a large protest group, their constitutional right as Americans, but were treated like they were rioting. Police chased them down with tear gas, rubber bullets, and percussion grenades.

Yeah, and Nazis killing jews were "only following orders"--use that shoebox you call a brain and think about it will you! Unquestioned following of orders by soldiers in combat may be excusable, but every one every where else has a duty to uphold moral laws of right and wrong. OR are you saying McCain's town hall meeting should be treated like "combat conditions" because "our country is at war"?????

This is why police departments use tests to weed out applicants who are "too smart." A police officer should first and foremost understand the U.S. Constitution.
