Totally agree with your comment mate and I am Irish. I hate all this Brazil bullshit from FIFA. Lets take a strategic look at thw World Cup in Korea/Japan in 2002. Italy and Spain were completely robbed by the officials in their matches with the host nation South Korea. Brazil, as a consequence played no one of substance. The results of the tournament were a farce

Indeed the cup is Italian, nobody's denying that. But that Italy had a better team, that's completely debatable. Football is weird like that, the results are unpredictable. Brasil could've had a better team and still lost, and it's valid to have such an opinion.
Personally, I'm saddened we lost with such an amazing team. But the holes in our defense show, and Italy took advantage of it.

The English commentators were/are so biased. The players of Italy were far superior to the Brazilians. Bruno Conti was more skilled than any of the Brazilians. Paolo Rossi was a better finisher than any of the Brazilians, Tardelli was a better midfielder than any Brazilians and the Italian defenders were all better than any Brazilian defender. Zoff should have stopped two of the Brazilian goals and he was very bad as a goalkeeper in this game.
