I saw you last night at The Brudenell Social Club. You were AWESOME.

Hi Tobi: The harmonics in the intro are "classical harmonics" - this means you touch the 'node' and pluck the string. So if the left hand is playing the 3rd fret, I touch the string very gently over the 15th fret with my index finger and pluck the string with my thumb. You can even mix in regular notes with your other right hand fingers. In the second half of the intro I touch the node with my index and pluck it with my ring finger, so my thumb is free to play a bassline.
Hope that helps!

hi (i hope this is the reall jon gomm) i saw you a few weeks back when you came to my college at crosskeys, i was wondering ... if it isn't too rude ... how do you hit those harmonics so tightly? i assume they are fretted 12 frets higher than the root in order to get a natural harmonic .. but how do you hit them so smoothly

You are crazy man!!! Bending your harmonics?!?! Tuning and retuning, 2 strings at the same time!?!? ***** Love your voice.

Yeah, harmonics do not get any better than that. To a guitarist, this is just upsetting!!!

The intro is beautiful, but the tuning and retuning mid-song is mind blowing. ********* |
