The key does not matter as long as it works and it pretty much does as a transcription here.
There can be a key where it doesn't work so well for fingering but a bit off to state bluntly; wrong key in this case...AS YOU DID in previous post

what do you mean there's no such thing as a wrong key? i mean there's nothing wrong with putting it in another key, all i'm saying is it's not in D major. i don't know, it's not like anybody else really cares about these things. It's pretty good nonetheless.
