People love to rant and rave about how one extreme or the other will save/destroy our country. They're half right. Extremism can and has destroyed many a country's high standard of living, no need to go into history on that one. I can think of no extremist position that has led to long term prosperity for any country or region. A lot of us think that the reckless deregulation of the last 8 years has contributed mightily to the present day downturn. Only compromise will right the ship. |
