Agreed, passion is the key for Stanhope as it was Hicks and Carlin. Jokes can be funny but the truth in a humourous way hits the mark like a motherfucker!!

Yo, never heard of this guy but i already like his act!I wish there were more comics like this guy, George Carlin, and Bill Hicks(Personal Favorite),comics that questioned everything and reveal truth through comedy. Great stuff man

certainly he was inspired by bill hicks and covers a lot of the same issues, but his material is original. Its not like he denies it, on one of his DVDs bill hicks gets a mention in the credits.
thing i like about both bill and doug are that although they sound angry and bitter, they're angry and bitter because they care more about their fellow man and well being than the people who they're making jokes about. the targets of the jokes are always people who make life that little bit more dull
