I think this is one of the best movies I have ever seen. Everything about it touches me. The music captivates you, the imagery just floors. The power of their love and the betrayal that stopped it. I saw it for the first time last week and I've watched it least a half a dozen times since then, each time I understand more and I cry harder. Such a well done movie. This inspires me to believe in the beauty of life and how you should seize every moment and savor it. It could be your last.

I have seen the movie twice now. And, I saw it for the 2nd time because I wanted to know why I never cried during the first time but rather, was absolutely frozen whenever I thought about it. I have cried at instances that weren't as moving as the ones in this movie. Upon reflection now, I think it had to do with Marianelli's music. I think it just left me stunned for a week or two. Marvelous work - Marianelli and everyone involved with the movie.

A combination of two of the songs from my grandmother's funeral : Dear Lord and Father of Mankind and Adagio For Strings... I've never cried so much while watching a movie. Atonement is one of the best I've ever seen.

This scene of the movie is when i broke down and cried for the rest of the film...the scenes these soldiers saw in real life would have haunted them forever. The song even gives me chills
