How America could reintroduced this tourtue tactic in unfathomable. I understand the resiliance of the jihadists, and that they are bigger enemy to what AI stands for. But America has set the example and the pandoras box is once again open. It was a bad move and I seriously hope those who have waterboarded people have trouble sleeping at night; Such acts are truly evil no matter what the justificaton.

Exactly, those who live by the sword, die by the sword. The entire world has responsibility to listen and not dismiss others. People should not have to perform terrorist acts for their basic rights to be upheld. We all have responsibility to emphasise towards human rights

Firstly, gtorture is never the answer. These so called 'terrorists' most of them are innocent, they have had no fair trail, at least they should be given a fair trail, if they have been found guilty, then throw away the key for LIFE, but at least give them a fair trail, and secondly, you want to stop terrorism, then stop invading countries like Iraq and threating Iran and also stop butting in Palestine, stop giving billions to Isreal to kill innocent civilians in palestine. u have to ask WHY?

Yeah it will. Refusing to torture people will, in the long run, result in torture being considered unacceptable in the world.

You guys think this is bad? This is nothing compared to what the enemy can and will do. They are methods of torture that go far beyond the physical body. Being sensitive and obeying rules that only apply to your side wont solve anything.

Amnesty International offers those who love their country enough to see its faults, to see where it can improve and welcome criticism in a pleasant and non-offensive way. I love Australia, it is a terrific nation but I know it can improve itself so much more. I hope Americans can feel the same about their nation. Don't take offence at criticism, take it on board and see how you can make your country better and above all love freedom and justice just as much. |
