i still think the original is better... this one is really good, but i came to love this for it's guitar solo... and no doubt the original solo is way better and more creative. anyhow, this is also a great version!

IMO the guitar solo isn´t just a guitar solo played by guitarist, i you listen to mid-guitar solo in anesthetize (at about 4min) listen to bass. i think the guitar solo in progressive music is about that guitarist does something great and all the band supports, which unfortunately didn´t succeed in this solo. good band plays as a band, not as individuals.

Holy shit it's like a totally different song. Much more rock oriented, as can be expected with Gavin involved.
Can't say I prefer this version. All the emotion has been sucked out of it, and jesus christ the guitar solo isn't nearly as mindfuckingly awesome.
