I saw this in the movies when I was 6 years old. I was TERRIFIED-but also loved it. To this day, my family and I gather every Christmastime to watch this classic. Finney is fabulous-and so specific-in his portrayal. And the score is beautiful as well. Incidentally, I have the soundtrack-on VINYL from 1970!

the scariest bit for me wen i was growing up was the bit wen we and scrooge think that marleys gone and then he reappears!! always made me jump!!! xxxx

The late great Alec Guinness at his best. Though I would question the singing! Although this was v good ,I still prefer the Alastair Sim version. |
