Interesting movie. I hate the bullies who can only solve problems with threats. At least you could have conversation with the paedo's without worrying that one of them will have a knife ready to stick in your eye. The consent argument is twisted. Adults can make kids do things. Kids will go along with the most insane adult shit because the approval of adults is important. Sex is one of the most powerful impulses any animal can have. It went on too long, for weeks. I am not sure it was abuse, I am certainly not sure it was a crime, but neither am I sure how I would define it. I wish fervently that it had never happened, but I'm not convinced it is the worst thing that could have happened, that it is anywhere near as terrible as many people think.
I could not voice these doubts to the Wednesday afternoon group, to the judge, to anyone, without threatening my entire family. |
