i guess that makes you the dumb fuck cause if you were proficient at guitar youd know stevies favorite lick which this kid played like 18 times contains a sharp 6 in the minor scale which would be a passing tone in the "pentatonic" which in the key of Gminor would be D# giving it an A lydian quality study up bud its pathetic when a 16 year old know more than you

i know that he uses that same scale,
but this kid stays in the same position the whole time either the low G minor scale or the high G minor scale where as srv does break from this scale a lot more than the kid does. Even though this kid plays the basics of this song the same, like i said before, it does not hold the same ammount of soul that srv had, and im not talking about the voice. Obvoiusly a kid cant sing like an adult, but his guitar is no where near as good as srv.

Are you a Dumbfuck or what? There is only one or two scales you can use for each song. In this case SRV uses the G minor Pentatonic scale. The same scale that this kid uses. If you played guitar you would know this and i wouldnt be wasting a minute of my satuday night leaving this comment. |
