I can not believe that the Europeans have not taken to the streets and demand these thieving cowards be arrested or at least removed from their positions and pay back every penny they stole.

Not at all. It's just a fact: Tories MEPs were recently caugth in a great scandal of misuse of money in the EP! It is a fact, whether you like it or not! Corruption (if that's the right word for this story) is not a privilege or right/left, pro or anti europeans, that is what I mean. And the austrian MEP who is always in the video with the journalist was already obliged to pay back the money he got to pay his assistants and never paid them. But they don't say that in the movie...Why?

However infuriating this is, your quote on Hans-Peter Martin is a bit confusing. In the clip he says:
"All in all, the average EU parliamentarian earns more money than the German Chancellor Merkel. This is not in line with their performance and their responsibility. They want to hide this fact from the electorate. This is why they don't like it when one examines things a bit closely"

Good piece of journalism! I'm v much in favour if the EU, but not tolerating outrageous expense abuses. Easily solved if we have a will.

Well, those MEPs had a chance to talk! But NOBODY did, only lame excuses and run aways.
By the way, only 15% of ppl can/or have time to read really long and informative news stories with deep and intuative analisis touching all the sides of the story; other 75% needs tabloids, yellow press and not all of them r liers.
Back to story, well i though there is very strick monetary order concerning Brussels, well it seems its not that better than Lithuanian MEPs.
