Yeah man, I had practiced Tae kwon do, some Jiujitsu, Muai thai, and now I am doing Krav Maga.
Krav is so good, it teaches you how counter any kind of strike from any angle and it is fast to learn. There is no belts in Krav, but its alot of fun to learn and very, VERY realistic.

If they could teach this to Bruce Willis, they could have him doing this for 2 hours and you would still hear his fans walking out of the theatre, "WOW! THAT MOVIE WAS GREAT!" "What was your favorite part?" "The part where Bruce took the pistol from that one guy and pistol whipped him in the back of the skull at, like, 90 mph?" "AW, YEAH! That was great! HaHa!"

There is no BELTS in krav maga... Unless you train with selfproclaimed instructors who think they know krav, but havent got instructor course or done real krav maga classes.

Got nothing to do with the system but the way it is trained. Krav Maga does well because it develops the right mind set to deal with situations through it's training. I've done many years of Kung Fu and some classes in krav Maga (which I like) and found the way we trained the kung fu was with the same mind set. Simple effective straight to the point techniques.
Although I have seen some classes that leave me wondering whether anyone from it could rely on their training.

i gotta say you're right. krav maga is more realistic in a real fight than most other fight sportes like karate or judo, but i also think that for example judo isn't meant to be used effective in a real combat. the diffrence i see between krav maga and asian fight sports is that the asian fight sports are also some kind of art. well, that's just the way i see it and i'm doing judo since i'm 5, but either way krav maga is more effective.

Ive just got my deputy black belt in Krav Maga. Of course this vid is scripted just to give people an idea. Real fights are not neat and tidy like this. I think KM is one of the best fighting systems - better than those pitty patty karate ones which dont have enough reality

i'am training Karv maga and we have never ever had serious injuries. But a lots of sore muscles and Small wounds. ;)

not usually. they train at half speed and softly. the only rule of krav maga is to not injure your training partner. But when full force is required in training full body protection is worn by the person who is having the techniques performed on. |
