I go across the line at the top and when I do this drill it solves plenty for me. I get the right sensation of "opening and closing the door." It feels like you are showing someone the card but because I'm so used to going across the line it puts me on plane. It feels like I'm laid off but on video its on plane .

Jeff, can you clarify what you mean when you say show the card to someone standing behind you?
pcakesxl1979 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Brilliant. Great teaching. I must admit I was misled by "show the card to someone behind you". I imagine this to be behind my set-up for example the wall to the left in your video. Perhaps "to the left and a little bit behind you" would be more accurate e.g. far left corner of the room you are in. Maybe you just want to exaggerate the feel. For me, when I tried this, I felt I had to go through the "stop" position rotating the right arm in the wrong direction. Please let me know if I am way off.

I've been searching quite some time for the right mental image to get the club more laid off. Thanks for a great set of videos!

Hi Jeff, thanks for posting all your videos. Your advice is most helpful to those of us with swing flaws: I myself am steep with my driver..which from your video post would mean I'm across the line. I'll try this drill..hope it works...Thanks again. Kerry
