Reiðhöllin Þyrill was the name, but Þyrill stopped.. And so.. New riding school people is there now.. that i went to this place, and they are not as good as Þyrill !
Þyrill could at least give a little dressage and a show at the end of the 2 week school-thing, and now the new ones just riding and showing that they can ride!
I miss Þyrill

~sigh~ no matter the breed it doesn't seem to be easier. I can't find anyone that wants to do the work. I have right now 2 horses of my own that are GREAT for begginer but NO ONE is getting my boys!!

They can have a lot of temperament. But if you search really good you might find a horse for a beginner. But it's not allways easy ;)

I am looking for a CALM, BEGINNER gaited horse. The lady I am looking for tried out Paso Finos and of the 10 we tried and looked through they were only well crazy. AND not for a beginner. How is this breeds temperment?

well the gaits are the most interesting for wiewers...tolt and flying pace are more interesting than some riding cross country...i don't say in real life it's much better but for you tube you'll get more wiews if you're gonna post films like this ;)

I don't really agree. Now it's as if these horses van do tölt, trot, canter, and they ride in competitions and shows. Personally I think icelandic horses are really diverse horses, but most movies about them only show the gait (all gaits) and competition riding...
But it's a nice movie though, it's never bad to look at some finelooking icelandics. :) |
