i think that that song is only about a famous trumpet man who had to go to the army, and he was so not for that and now he is the boogie woogie bugle boy of company b...and thats all, not fighting overseas nor pre-war music....its just good music...and i love them.

It's sad when that happens. I left working in a restaurant last year with a resonant hatred for bepop jazz. It would suck if it were a genre I actually liked to begin with.
