Dalai Lama and his followers should get over it. They should recorgnize China's sovereignty over Tibet. Tibet is not a case like small East Europe countries, nor it is like HongKong and Taiwan. Dalai lost two wars with China since 1950 (one with the help from CIA). He should ask his followers to move forward to 21th century.

Yes. However, it is about Hart's early years in Chin (1854 to 1856) before he went to work for the Emperor. Hart's letters that mention Tibet don't show up until after 1880. If you are interested in the evidence I ran into while researching Robert Hart's life, I can point the way.
