Amplitude - DJ HMX & Plural :: Cool Baby (Insane)

Another one from Guitar Hero's daddy! My favorite song in the entire game, on the "Insane" (highest) difficulty. An awesome groove and a phat bassline. In case you don't know, here are the tracks: Red: Drums, Blue: Bass, Green: Vocals, Yellow: Synth, Purple: FX There will be more of these to come--remixes and finger-cams as well! For info on how to play Amplitude, read below and check out my other videos. =========== Before Guitar Hero was even thought of, there was a wonderful little pair of games called Frequency and Amplitude. ---- These two music/rhythm games contained all the makings of a PS2 best-seller, and they did in fact achieve much critical acclaim, however they never sold enough to really warrant a continuation of the series. ---- Now, with a game built on a very similar engine, Harmonix have gotten the credit they've deserved for a long time. If you're a fan of Guitar Hero I or II, or music games in general, you should seek out these games. In addition to the same addicting gameplay, there are things you won't find in any GH games, like the ability to play other tracks such as drums, synth, and vocals, as wells as power-ups that alter the outcome of a level. Huge plusses like 4-way multiplayer and online play, and the ability to REMIX every song in the game and trade remixes take Freq and Amp into territories Guitar Hero has yet to even see.

Man, I love this game. That was a great song. I wish I could get my hands on it. It's such an awesome game but so hard to find. I remember borrowing it from my sister's friend. Me and her loved playing it.

Awesome. Thanks for the info :D

Plural a.k.a Naoko Takamoto; she was an associate producer of this game and was also the lyricist and singer for this song, obviously. She's still working for HMX -- her band, That Handsome Devil, of which she provides the back-up vocs, is actually featured in Rock Band 2. She has a profile up on the Rock Band forum site if anyone's interested.

Great Job! And amazing game! Though I never owned it, I rented it and loved it. I do own FreQuency, though. I felt the graphics in Amplitude were better, but it changed some things from FreQuency, like how you get Freestyle and how the sections affected the tracks. Great game, though. I wish I knew it had online back when it came out!

This was one of my most favorite tracks in the whole game besides Baseline and Dope Nose. Makes me want to hunt my copy down and play it again >_>
