I have no doubt that Persia was a great and powerful nation 2500 years ago, and you have every right to be proud of your heritage. Please don't confuse Hollywood with the American people. Entertainment is seen as just that. However, for the sake of argument, the current Figurehead in Iran is a terrible man, and I hope the people of Iran can be free of him someday soon.

the history what will be used and is very readable for european and american was written by european , also it is not objectiv ,but more subjectiv . if they read always that they had weak empires and they had sometimes good luck to win the fight , nobody would read that . and nobody would interest in own european history .(heroes made in hollywood)

you had a great civilization but greece gave the world the modern way of life.The indivituality, democracy, sciense, philosophy. Even art in ancient Greece reached levels that nowhere else have reached. I m proud of ancient Greeks. Not only as a Greek my self but also as a citizen of the world. Homo sapiens started to really undrestand itself and nature in ancient Greece.

@cyrusiancyrus: I'm ready to believe you about ! It was maybe official in the Persian empire but they really done slaves in Greece just before the Battle of Marathon ! That's historical fact ! Maybe it's a diferent point of view !

No my dear Greek friend. Everybody, each historians know Persians before islam considered slavery as an act of unhumanity and was forbidden both by government and religion. Even your great people said Persians were most fair people and in Persia was tolerance and freedom of religion, speach and culture and woman had the same rights as man (we had queens and woman top generals and some cities ruled totally by woman). Just watch my videos about Cyrus the Great who banned slavery officially.

@cyrusiancyrus: About slavery ! Perses had slaves too my dear , specialy when the comed to Greece for the war with Athens and destroyed some islands in them march for Athens !
