yah drakion I agree? I've grasped that concept a long time ago? I just said how I was Christian but would not want to be forced to be something else. This was to reinforce what you said about people being forced to be Christians...

I never asked you about your beliefs, and I don't intend to start. I highly suggest you reread what I wrote.
To paraphrase. I said that OTHERS are allowed by the American Constitution to have any belief they choose, no matter how unsound. You can pray to the Spaghetti Monster for all I care.
The fact is as long as OTHER PEOPLE'S beliefs do not affect you, then you have no right to complain.
I don't understand what's so hard to grasp.

1. something believed; an opinion or conviction: a belief that the earth is flat.
2. confidence in the truth or existence of something not immediately susceptible 2 rigorous proof: a statement unworthy of belief.
3. confidence; faith; trust: a child's belief in his parents.
4. a religious tenet or tenets; religious creed or faith: the Christian belief.
I don't know about you but i don't have any beliefs so stop asking about them. I have facts & ideas only the nearest i get is disbelief.

I agree completely Drakion. I want to be a Christian, and would not want to be "forced" to be Buddhist(for example). I agree with what you are saying and yes I do believe in seperation of Church and State

I understand that not all religious people are zealots. I have no problem with spirituality. People can worship who/what whenever/where ever they want. I have no problems with that. Every person has freedom of religion, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
But your faith is a personal matter, and should not be forced upon those who don't wish for it. It's only when someone wishes to impose their beliefs upon another that I cross swords.

Awesome, btw did you read my other comment? Not all Christians are judgemental haters... Some of us actually care about others that share different faiths - Christians are supposed to accept others regardless "Love thy neighbor"

Well my answer is rather simple. I was asked to come here due to a personal message from a Crusading Youtube Christian trying to "save me". He asked that I come here and view the video, and because there is no harm in watching something I did. I also went one step further and read the comments... and made a reply.
Been coming and going ever since.

The one thing I want to know, is if you guys are all athiest or agnostic why did you search "Open the eyes of my heart Lord"? Not that you do not have the right to be here.. I just simply wondering? |
