Whoever he is?? Where have you been living the last fifty years while Chet Atkins was making guitar history?? This is the man who virtually taught the world how to play guitar, world renowned as "Mr Guitar" and he has fan clubs world wide and you say whoever he is?
This is the man whose name is synonymous with guitar who put guitar on the map, and you say whoever he is?
This is the man who inspires millions worldwide, who put Nashville on the map, and you say whoever he is? Holy cripes!

I love the use of "harmonics" from 1:13 to 1:40...Atkins simply has a mastering of what the all guitar has to offer in tones

LOl thtubeisgri is a newb. I've been playing guitar for over 30 years, rock, jazz, blues, classical, and I have not heard anything better than Chet Atkins and Stanley Jordan. They are it, and of course Chet has much greater exposure. Idiot thetubeisgr8 has no idea how good Chet is. You actually have to play seriously to understand Chets greatness.

Possibly, but I have still never heard of Chet Atkins. Now if it had been John Williams that would of been a different matter! Just found out on Wiki that he is dead! No more disparigin' words about him then. OK So I have/had never heard of him, but as he cannot defend himself anymore this is my last word on the matter. R.I.P Whoever you were.....
