it still captures feelings that the songwriter had at the time that have nothing to do with rationale, but with an emotional background. you can use a random irrational sentence to describe how you feel in a particular moment and it will make perfect sense. i don't think i need to give an example

no actually i smoke marijuana and eat psylocibin mushrooms all the time; but saying that it doesn't make sense cause they are on drugs is like saying you become idiotic when you take them. and that may be the case with you buddy but it isn't a rule of thumb. to me if the song has lyrics then there's a message trying to get across and worth decodifyin. regardless wether they were on drugs or not

THEY WERE "HIGH" at the time. I DID MY BEST RADIO SHOWS WHEN ON "OBDERLIN LA" or "DESBUTAL GRADUMETS". Legal prescribed diet pills. Elvis Stuff only he over did it. Johnny Cash made his best when on "THE GREAT SPECKLED BIRDS" (you don't think that country song was written about a bird,do you??

themojomansince1959, i'm not so sure about that. sure, the media makes all that crap look like what's "in" but where i am most people my age laugh about that stuff. don't worry, there's kids out there that realize that wearing pants around your knees looks stupid. oh, by the way, I'm in high school, in case you were wondering what i mean by "my age"

Corrections "I touch myself" was by the Australian band Divinyls. Damn I liked it better when I thought Debbie Harry sang it.

Hip-Hop already has oldies. Rapper's Delight, Humpty Dance, Hammertime, and there are now hip hop oldies stations. The Sinatra crowd could have said the same thing about rock. What will rock be remembered for: David Bowie, Queen, Sex Pistols, Wendy O, New York Dolls, Kiss, or I shot the Sheriff, 10 inch record, I kissed a girl (sung by a girl) Blondie' (When I think about you) I touch myself - Detachable Penis. Don't start thinking like an old person live and let live.

Well disco went on to be known as house so disco never died. And rap is in it's 20th year, yea gansta rap is annoying but there is also an underground movement (Del Tha Funkee Homosapien ) and turntabilism my mom thought I would give up Led Zeppelin for Frank Sinatra once I grew up.
