I love the place. About the only thing I don't like about it is the humidity. Other than that, the culture is wonderful, the food is the best, the people are the friendliest, and I'd like to one day own a second home there.

Stupid propaganda. the majority of taiawanese are just han chinese from mainland china they just ran away from communism to be want to be americans. they stole it from the aboriginals. taiwan belongs to the Atayal, Ami, Bunun, Paiwan and Rukai and other peoples the original inhabitants. Give taiwan back to the original people and them rule in peace.

Taiwan Independence is DEAD! Eight years of Ma Ying-jeou and 8 years of Hao Long-bin rule later, then Taiwan independence is GAME OVER due to economic integration with the Mainland. When its supporters reduce from 1/4 of Taiwan's population today down to 1/6, its chance of success becomes ZERO.
Hey, they can always immigrate to Japan, since they like that country so much.
