I can see i'm not the only one that thinks this commercial was/would be scary for kids. The first few seconds with the evil laugh and the animation that looks like someone's mind on an acid trip freaks even me out now. I never seen this commercial when I was a kid, but it doesn't look to pleasant. The rest of the commercial is fine, but the first 10 seconds or so ranks up there with some of the worse horror movies in history.

Public service announcements used to be effective. Now they are just lame. This is classic stuff people. We need more like this. Another favorite of mine is the "Like Father, Like Son" anti-smoking psa. THink about it.
