God, Charlie Rose is such a twat. He seems to have dedicated his professional career to the endless (and fruitless) task of trying to show that he is smarter than his guests. I've never seen him succeed, but that doesn't seem to deter him.

Well said. It's also important to note that the monopoly on violence has been in the West for the last 200 years. Specifically with the United States over the course of the last sixty as we have been without question the worlds lead superpower. Starting with Truman and Eisenhower and up to Bush II, we are the most violent country on earth.

On what grounds do you claim that we have the 'most moral culture"? How are you defining morality and what is your method of comparison?
Typical indicators include levels of drug use, teen pregnancy, education, health care, productivity, pollution levels, freedom of press, and so on. Taking these into account, the US usually ranks in the mid 20's. Don't get me wrong, I'm not claiming the US is evil or at the bottom, but everyone who spouts "US is #1" needs to clarify those standards.

@sirjacko1: You are right about one thing in your comment, that America has the world's most advanced military apparatus. On every other point, you are either flat-out wrong or the point is moot.
What did our morally superior culture do when Saddam was gassing his own people in 88-89? We increased funding and corporate investment in his country. Call me a commie, but it seems like the market won out over morals that year.

This is such a mind-numbing video. Comentator after comentator display their communist view towards the west without realizing that the west and more specifically America is the reason for the worlds existance today. We have the most advanced military, the most moral culture, yet anytime we seek to better the world (Iraq) the communist liberals of the world protest our war against islamofascism and try to demonize America for attacking islamofascists across the globe. Liberals are so disgusting.

Liberals want nothing short of the destruction of America. They want to demonize our nation, our history, and our morals.
