Good points, but I hope you can look back at your use of the phrase, "currently dead" and get the same chuckle I did.
EMO is a derogatory term used to label music, not a true genre. Most things that are considered EMO are post punk, or punk pop. Metal that is considered EMO is called Screamo.
So much music over the years has contained emotional lyrics to take the term EMO seriously.

Nothing wrong with emo kids. If somebody can appreciate that sort of music, more power to them, I say.

good one. the term emo wasnt invented till recently so already your wrong about Jeff. Emo music is downtuned guitars, guitar solos, and screaming about feelings you know nothing about. That doesn't sound like Jeff. If you're gonna make a stand against emo than by all means do it cause I'm all for it but why don't you attack fall out boy and those bands? don't attack a depressed man with amazing talent who is currently dead.
