sort of like the first five seasons of SNL.

I remember when I was three and this was my favorite show along with the Flip Wilson Show (yes this is showing my age) but when I saw episodes at the Museum of Broadcasting in NY, I remembered why I love this show. Ernie Kovacs did it first, then Laugh In borrowed from that, Monty Python borrowed from Laugh In, SCTV borrowed from them, SNL borrowed from SCTV and so on. The sad thing about Laugh In which wasn't apparent in those other shows was that it was dated by the time it was syndicated.
