I'm assuming that this interview was taken on 11/29/05 because Charlie Rose mentions in the beginning about a governor he interviewed "the night before" (which was 11/28/05.) <--- it's at 0:00:31
Just putting two to two together....

I have come to the conclusion that Brian should retire after this new album. For someone in his condition,he just doesnt need the stress. ... I know, as if I personally know the guy. I just heard that performances have been lackluster recently.

I appreciate Brian's honesty.
Charlie Rose "How about, Johnny Cash?"
Brian says flatly, "No, I never liked".

Brian Wilson sounds like Randy Newman when he sings.

I met Brian once at the back door of a show in Glasgow. He was with his son and was rather startled by the approach for autographs from my friend and I. He is an amazing man. His nerves were unbelieveable, we were only able to get a hand shake from him and compliment him on the show. The thing I loved most about that show was his performance of "Little Saint Nick" where at the end, a member of the audience shouted "Merry Christmas Brian", he replied with "Merry Christmas". The show was in July! |
