I´m from Germany and to a lot of german people the US were "our heroes" because they helped freeing our nation from the nazi regime.
The US became our rolemodel for a "free and just" nation, we even took the US-constitution as an example when forming our constitution.
But when we see pictures of guantanamo it reminds us of the darkest phase of our history.
US citizens please stop this shame to western society.

Close Guantanamo! The people of this country, my country, need to speak out at some point. This has gone on for too long! The Supreme Court has spoken--each man must have a trial; we have a court system. The entire free world agrees on the rule of law. Close Guantanamo Now! If this government has proof, they should use it, otherwise, free them!

I adamantly agree with you. As an American it is sickening to me that my country's government has practically desecrated upon all preexisting standards that it claims to abide by. I have hope in Barack Obama, yet I am still considering living abroad in the future. Please for all of you in the international community,note that not all American's are entities of a common stereotype, we have well intentioned and educationally adept people in this country as well.

u can hate muslims as much u want but sometime u need to take of ur sunglasses to c the sunlight, the truth is your govt is not much better, one day they shake hand with Bin laden&Saddam and the next they stab them, invade countries based on lies, militiry bases everywhere, Guantanamo, Abu Ghraib, Rapes, torture...u name it, and u need to admit it, ur govt as guilty as them, do something about it. |
