I believe that the monster playing guitar is Doug Pettibone and yes we should all pray he has guitar lovin' kids.

Look, I love Lucinda Williams as much as the next guy, but here I am duty bound to say that her lead guitar player, That Guy, is a monster of the kind we seen once in along generation. Let us pray that he has children.

Lucinda is a master of simplicity. She says so much with so few words. You got no right to take my joy, I want it back. Yes.

Lucinda Williams central brilliance is her ability to define a very strict sound and hire badass players; the guitar work here can make a blind man see.

Only in Your mind can I hear that in this song- La woman is 3 times faster- has an intro that slightly resembles the song Tequila (sort of a samba, sort of) and has the signature doors y keyboard- Organ sound- In Joy there's No keyboard, the lyrics certainly aren't remotely similar and the groove is completely different- so uh where is this startling similarity in style?

So you don't hear LA Woman in there? |
