I've ust bin told Dylan was the year before, and the audience were in fact acting up because they couldn't hear Kristoffersen, the PA was duff.

Bob Dylan soured the mood at this gig by going electric, the audience wanted his old stuff. They missed out on a real gem here, blanking an all time great song, sung by the man who wrote it. They probably kick themselves now.

Kris did study English Lit at Oxford, but he's american. Maybe you're thinkning of Gordon Lightfoot, he did a very popular version of this song. He's Canadian.
