Nicola Tesla's car used a battery switching trick which makes the batteries self charging. Google "Tesla Switch", and positive results and replications are found on overunity website.

Is it me, or does the cameraman sound a little condescending?

Do a google search on Electricity4Gas
The site shows you how to do your own electric car conversion on your own car

update: Go-Wheel is at best unreliable, at worst a scam. Don't do business with them until I can say they have cleaned up their act.

Thank you sir for putting America back on the map. You're teaching people to learn how to be old school with new school ideas and ambitions. To dream the impossible dream. Just Do It, you go dude!!!
I'm sorry, I don't recall you giving your name.
I sure wish Governor Doyle would appoint a team of enthusiasts to learn from you and bring the trade back to Wisconsin to teach in all our tech schools. How much are you charging the Mexicans & Australians for your workshop?
God Bless

cont'd to anewlow23: for motors google Hi-Torque Electric, Thunderstruck Motors, or if you can only afford something less powerful Advanced Motors and Drives... or get one locally. Controllers: Cafe Electric, Tommey Lee Reed, Curtis, or others... batteries: depending on budget, any deep discharge battery such as Orbit, or A123 Systems, but you need a battery management system to keep from ruining them by unbalanced charging... try Tek Battery, Go-Wheel, EV battery. Good luck!

where are you located? Google Electric Auto Association. They have a state-by-state list of dozens of groups all over the country you can link up with that can help you put an EV conversion together. If there is no group very close to you, start your own chapter.
There are 5 specific things you'll need: an electric motor, battery pack, controller, and an adapter plate 2 connect the motor 2 the transmission or drive shaft, and some means of connecting the motor 2 the motor mounts. (cont'd.) |
