A beautiful melding of grief, tenderness, and stately pomp. Could serve as a backdrop to Romeo & Juliet or something of that sort. Very well done version, thanks for posting.

...than why is called Adagio of Tommaso Albinoni? Giazotto himself found this composition from Albinoni and elaborate it like nowadays is used with many sentimental songs..changed to,hip hop or rock or..

There aren`t many songs that emotional and touching, I just love it, yet it brings tears to my eyes and makes me shiver.
There is also a very good opera version sung by Nana Mouskouri, you should check it out if you get the chance!
