I saw this on BBC 2 in Feb 2005. I've been hunting for it ever since and started to think I dreamt the whole thing! Thanks for posting.

Superb. The most faithful Ballard adaption i have ever seen. Sher is amazing, a tour de force performance. Contains the usual Ballard themes/obsession - disintegration of self, man turned feral, breakdown of society and of course the old favourity - dog consumption. Miss at your peril!

The most perfect and faithful Ballard adaption out there, nothing has come close to this.... Sher's performance is superb, playing the typical Ballard 'hero', the urbanite turned feral. This amazing dramatization has all the classic Ballard themes of a breakdown in society, disintegration of self and of course dog consumption (an old favourite!). Intellectually blows everything off the t.v. since Potter, miss at your peril!
