Zakia's courage is humbling. Her story should inspire all of us to commit ourselves to making the world a better place because it now one brave soul poorer without her.

Zakia Zaki's story is inspirational, powerful and, needless to say, painful. It shows us that women continue to operate under severe constrains in Afghanistan, despite the 'fall of the Taliban'. It also shows how women like Zakia are able to create change, however limited their space is.

So... very sad indeed. Her only crime was; improving the lives of other Afghan women. |
