Are contestants screened before they appear before the judges? Neal has a gorgeous voice. For the sake of not wanting to come off as a Paul Potts copycat, was there ever a chance that someone could have leaned over and suggested another aria or song? I don't know where Neal's career has taken him, but I think he would have demolished the place if he'd sung Robert Goulet's signature piece, "If Ever I Would Leave You." That would have been a sweet surprise coming out of Neal's billowing lungs!

Whenever I need a lift, I watch this. I get teary eyed, but feel wonderful. After all, it isn't often that one gets to watch a star being born. Long, happy career to you, Neal, and I'll be watching for your first CD! |
