We shouldn't compare Apocalyptica and Rasputina. Both are very musical but they don't have much in common. Yes, they play cellos, but they write differently and they are different styles and musicians. Either way, both rock very hard. Melora is amazing!

Personally, I like both bands a lot; but you have to remember that their mission statements are totally different. Apocalyptica wanted to show that classical instruments could be used in metal. Melora Creager really just wanted to make a cello rock band.
I could listen to them both all day though. ^.^

I kinda like Raspinuta better. They're a little more rock, while Apocalyptica is metal. I like rock more than metal. |
