Looks to me like he can't get it to work!
Where's that blasted manual?

Thank you for pointing that out!
I think every single person on this planet is a spiritual teacher whether aware of it or not and Messiaen, i believe, was quite aware of it :).

Perhaps. What is really interesting, however, is that for some reason you returned here unbidden (as there was no "reply" posted), and found this message directed to you, personally. Perhaps some larger spiritual impulse is at work, attempting to acquaint you with Olivier Messiaen and his work...

WOW, that's interesting! I accidentally had a look here (really accidentally!) and here you're saying that Messiaen was clairvoyant and i wondered what you mean by that and there you're also saying that u'd better anticipate jannokas85 and explaining just the thing that raised a question! Perhaps you're a clairvoyant and unaware of it?

I thought I better anticipate jannokas85: I am referring to the color clairaudience Messiaen developed while he was in solitary confinement in a concentration camp during World War II. Afterwards he could see colors when sounds were made, and related them to human feelings. He quickly realized that birds are the world's greatest musician-artists, and began to incorporate their songs into his music. There are several youtube videos of him notating birdsong in nature.

Here he views the stops as a painter would view a palette, and he has already associated the colors with the visual reference to the names of the stops, so he searches for the exact compliment to the visual effect he wishes to achieve sonically. A rarely captured moment of a highly clairvoyant personality in direct conscious communication with the spiritual. Profound! |
