Basically the man's spent too long in America. He's lost touch with his True Accent. He was born in Wales. You can hear traits of his real accent in the last 30 seconds of this clip, but if you really want to hear his true accent (which, really Christian, should be how you speak) then check out any interview he did before 'American Psycho'. The guy is really Britain's greatest acting export right now, but you really wouldn't think it to hear it.

My guess is he's practicing this accent for his next movie. Public Enemies. He's playing a Fed so it might be sort of like this.
Anyhow, still aint seen the fuckin film TDK. So going tomorrow, can't wait.

Did you know that christian bale actually auditioned to be robin in batman forever. THANK GOD they didn't choose him other wise we probably wouldn't see him here.

i saw the interview with him for the film batman begins and his accent is not really diffrent than now !!!!
i don't see any deffrences
but in my opinion the english accent is nicer tha the american one
although i'm from gulf but i like the english one more
anyway i luv christian his very handsome
