Hi
You bet. Those scale and chord books have a lot of info in them. It may be better to know a little bit of something really really well than to know a lot of something not as well.
Thanks
Mike

Thanks for the vid! I have a scale book (guitar grimoire) that has every scale and every position known to human kinda, and its good to have an audio example of what to play. Maybe now I can figure this whole "theory" thing out!!

Hi
No thats not a dumb question. All of the melodies you have ever heard came from within these patterns. You could play them straight up and down as a scale or you can find a melody or pattern in the notes that appeals to you. The pattern is just a tool in your tool box.
Mix em up or play them in line, make it your own.

so how would i apply this to my playing...im not sure if that's a dumb question or not but in order to make it the pattern do i have to use the notes in that order or can i mix them up

Hey Donodina
Sorry about that, I usually catch and block the ones that type before they think but I missed that one (wow for two months!)
He's gone :-)

With all due respect , I don't think you fully understand the level of maturity and professionalism of those who are watching and posting on these particular videos.
