Hi! well; you can try to first turn her hair decolorized, and then paint it yellow... other way is to mix some gradients using the Colors -> Color Balance ... and with this you can get a more natural color.

1) Are you using GIMP on Windows?
2) Are you saving the files into the right format?
3) Did you check that you haven't change the image properties after you save the photo?

PLEASE SOMEONE ANSWER!!
i downloaded gimp, and all my pics shrink a WHOLE bunch after i edit them. like the picture itself gets smaller when i try to put it on myspace for example. and also the pics go from like 800 kb to 19 mb...
How do I fix this??
because there isn't much point in having gimp at all if its gonna do this!!
