in comedy people are always going to copy off of someone else's joke, even accidently
chances are the last joke you came up with, someone already thought of it first
doesnt mean you stole it though

I'm a Dane Cook fan as well as a Demetri Martin fan. I have always has a slight edge over Demetri, and now, that edge is way bigger. No comedian should steal jokes, it is the worst sin you can commit as a comedian. Shame on Dane Cook.

Both jokes are delivered very well, but it's clear Dane was influenced by Demetri's joke...so yeah..he stole it.

dane cook like carlos mencia are great performers but both have been caught using other peoples material. its sad to think that the people some kids and teens look up to cant be original enough to write their own material |
