The only reason why Jews became so influential in the socialist and marxist movements were to ensure equility. You must understand that in Russia most Jews lived in poverty and were forced to live in a "Jewish Ghetto" and were constantly attacked by pogroms. Before Nicholas II the Russians invited the Jews to help stabalize the economy. Anyways I would like to continue this dicussion but I have to go for now. And if you move into the 19th and 20th centuries the Jews were the leaders of the radical Socialist and Marxist movements to overthrow the Monarchs of Europe and destroy Christian civilization. 3 of the 4 individuals responsible for the deaths of Russian Tsar Nicholas II and his family were Jews.

Hardly, "scapegoat" suggests that Jews were innocent which is nonsense. In medieval times Jews would drain the blood of a Christian child for their religious rituals. The Catholic church even created a saint out of a little boy known as Saint Simon of Trent who had been bleeded and murdered by Jews.

Really? I was under the assumption that religious anti-semitism started mainly bceause of the notion that the Jews are Christ-killers. Through Roman Catholic dogma many christians including the clergy have held jews collectively responsible for killing Jesus. This caused blood libels, expulsions, massacares and ultimately expulsion. Throughout bad times both economically and socially Jews have been used a scapegoat.
