It should be a requirement for any director who wants to make a movie about a game that they actually sit down and play it.
And I dont mean like 15 minuttes hell no I mean from begining to end and they will not be allowed anywhere near the project until they can produce proff they have actually played for 50+ hours and can answer several easy trivia questions.
"So what color are Chun-Li's underpants?"
"Umm I dunno you never get to see them."
"Very good, next question."

yeah true. what recent game to movie adaptation dya reckon was good? i thought hitman was ok. i have high hopes for prince of persia and i hope to god (although it was an anime and a comic before it) that Dragonball is going to be somewhat decent, not likely tho.

True, but the operative word here is "right", and indeed when was the last time we saw a movie based on a game (or vice versa) that was actually good?
Whenever the game to movie debate flairs up I point to the disasterous fluke that was the Streetfighter movie, awful piece of crap where you could tell the director had only watched someone else played the game.
The Anime version was way better (not a big accomplishment but still), and mostly stayed true to the game lore, alos looked kick-ass.

Yes and no.
Some of the Vaults had a timer which would open them automatically after a certain amount of time, to allow the radiation to settle, the Enclave knew of several vaults with this feature and when they would open.
In this case they just decided to massacre the plebs as the door opened.
