This version is good but in the actual show, she was, as you say, out of tune. Her drumming was good though!

I thought so, too. She had a kind of frightend glint in her eyes and as she turned to fetch her bodrhan it looked like if she wanted to flee... I think that was because she noticed that she was out of tune...

however the performance at the real contest was not as good as this version...she missed several tunes for example. don't understand me wrong, I would have loved them to win, too, but they did not their best on the contest...you can't blme people for voting like that, if a singer doesn't sing right...

I think Ireland should be in Top10. This song is perfect and they´re singing about historical incident of my country...so bad they´ve got only 5 points by the Albanian jury...

Yes, the lyrics really are about the Prague Spring and the occupation of Czechoslovakia. "They may crush the flowers but they cannot stop the spring" is a quote by Alexander Dubcek, Czechoslovak politician, in 1968.
By the way, today is the 40th anniversary of this crime.

I agree with you man, Dervish had traditional music that ireland has that maskes it the best for music and irish dancing, but in the finals of that year, Dervish decided to use a backing track and for dervish to mime the work, if i was part of Dervish, i would really play the proper music not backing track that is why we got last that year for the first time in our ESC history !!

This song is really cute, and good. Makes me happy ^^ I can see why Ireland sent a turkey this year, because if you send a song this good and don't win.... I would be pissed off at ESC too.
