There was a special web site for people to contact when they would receive a ticket stub FOR another movie! That's Hollywood's way of "ticket fraud". Another thing was that some movie outlets would not carry the film.
Numbers were screwed!

"I don't think I want to see myself on the big screen, I look bad enough on the small screen"
WHAT?! Some self-deprecation from Hannity?! I'm genuinely shocked. He's genuinely gone up in my estimation. This film looks like a proper stinker though.

David Zucker became a repubican. But notice when he was a liberal his movies were funny, now he's a conservative they suck. Just like Dennis Miller...How much did this movie make? Two million? Now that's funny..

Let's see...it was underpromoted, shown in only small/out of town theaters (All the big theaters in my area didn't show it) - The Theater release pattern was deliberately planned to minimize the box office. Being shown in 1500 theaters doesn't matter if all those theaters are 50-100 miles from major population centers. In my area, I had a choice...I could have driven 50 miles out to the airport (which is outside town to the north) or 40 miles to a small town out in the country, off the freeway.

The reason it did not do well because it only got publicity from Fox. No where else. But it did beat Bill Mahers Religulous. So...good news for the human race.

It has made over 16million so far...

WELL, IT FAILED.
Funny it made less than 2 million dollars at the box office before it completely flopped.

Well, silverdumper, I referred to the mainstream "media". Talk radio is clearly much bigger in the States than in the UK and therefore a huge factor in forming people's political opinions - and clearly "mainstream".
A definition of mainstream media that excludes talk radio (overwhelmingly rightwing) may suit some conservatives' conspiracy theories and paranoia but it's unrealistic.
