I think their writers (all of them on all different projects) wanted dean & jerry to stay together as well. Just listen to the lyrics of the songs that were written (especially ones near their break up)in ones like "Side by Side," "We Belong Together" and "Pardners" and so many others. It seems like writers were hoping that if d & j sang the words, they'd listen to the meaning of them. Big shame it didn't work out that way!

Well, Dean is gone but we still have Jerry. He's touring Australia right now and I saw him perform last week at the Gold Coast Convention Centre. He's aged a lot physically of course but all the spirit is still there. Great show!

I always get a bittersweet feeling when I watch this video. It's sweet, of course, because I love Dino (and Jerry, too), but it's bitter because we will no longer have such kind spirited talents like these anymore. :(
