That amp is far from cranked, I can tell he has it on about 3 from where his hand stopped on the dial.

meh i wouldn't get the bassman pedal, it doesnt handle bass well either
OkieSlims (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
never used a bassman pedal.. just the amp itself
SpaceTwinn (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
no i mean how does a BASS sound with a bassman pedal, does it have a good distortion sound? if not i will just get a distortion pedal, but i have a fender rumble amp, and was wondering if i should get the bassman pedal

My friend plugged his bass into mine. It was very fuzzy sounding. Hard to keep the bass clean. The bassman sounds fine with pedals. It has a natural distortion that a lot of pedals try to emulate.

so... can you use the bassman PEDAL for bass, and make it sound good, with distortion too? how does the bassman amp sound with bass?

because it failed at being a bass amp. It breaks up too fast. Jimi Hendrix revolutionized it as one of the best amps for guitar in history.
