I cannot believe you would judge a marching band's sound based on a youtube video. This isn't exactly blue-ray.
Don't care much for the "Alternative Music Marching Band" idea because most rock songs don't translate well to marching band arrangements.
However, I saw this band do a Smashing Pumpkins show about a decade ago, and they were ear-splittingly loud! I mean jet noise loud. It was impressive!

im not sure which is worse the intonation or the time. the transitions between songs make no sense are are completely unmusical, what is the drill doing musically? there is little consistency of sound in any of the sections. im not saying this is bad because i dont expect much from band nerds, but what is all the hype about?
